Courseware for AI General Education (Primary School Edition) Released

To meet the needs of AI general education in primary and secondary schools across China, the Tsinghua AI General Education Research Group for Universities, Secondary Schools, and Primary Schools has developed the AI General Education series of readers, consisting of three volumes for primary school, junior high school, and senior high school. The series is currently in the process of publication and is expected to be available to readers in late March.

To support schools that plan to offer related courses in the spring semester, the research group has decided to release teaching courseware and selected chapters of the readers before the books are officially published. The senior high school courseware released this time contains 40 lessons and corresponds to AI General Education (Senior High School Edition). Since several frontline teachers from Tsinghua University High School Education Group participated in the development of the courseware, this version is named the “Tsinghua University High School Education Group Edition.” The first chapter of AI General Education (Senior High School Edition) is also released at the same time.

The Tsinghua AI General Education Research Group for Universities, Secondary Schools, and Primary Schools is jointly organized by the Center for Artificial Intelligence General Education, Department of Computer Science and Technology, Tsinghua University; Tsinghua University High School; Tsinghua University Primary School; and Tsinghua University Press. Its goal is to build an authoritative, systematic, and forward-looking AI general education system that connects universities, secondary schools, and primary schools.

The teachers who participated in the development of the courseware and readers include Wang Yiran, Du Wenqiang, and Yu Jinjing. The teachers and students who participated in checking the courseware and readers include Han Mufei, Yu Jie, Liu Jing, Li Pengqi, Yuan Junming, Gu Yue, Mao Lidan, and Wang Siyao.
